A fall detection watch for seniors that works with Android

Looking for a fall detection watch for seniors, and your family uses Android phones? Then an Apple Watch is out. It only works with an iPhone. The good news is that Android watches have fall detection too, and Lanturne turns one into a safety watch that alerts your phone.

Which watches have fall detection

Many Wear OS watches have fall detection built in, including the Samsung Galaxy Watch and the Google Pixel Watch. Lanturne works on any watch running Wear OS 3 or later, such as:

What happens when the watch detects a fall

When the watch detects a fall and they don't cancel it, Lanturne sends an alert to your Android phone. The alert shows what happened, when, and where the watch was. It also has a Call 911 button that opens your phone's dialer.

If you don't answer after a few minutes, your backup contact gets the same alert.

What you need

Lanturne is $30 a month, or $120 a year, with the first 7 days free. It is not a medical device and not an emergency service. It tells you what the watch noticed, so you can decide what to do.
