A morning call tells you how things were at that moment. For the rest of the day you're left guessing, and that's what keeps you checking your phone.
The usual advice is a medical alert pendant. You press it and it connects to a monitoring center. The center arranges help and usually lets the family know afterward.
Lanturne works the other way around. Alerts go straight to you, and to a backup contact if you don't respond. You decide what happens next.

Minutes count
One study followed people over 90 for a year. Of all their falls, 82% happened when they were alone. At least once, most of the people who fell couldn't get up on their own. In most of the long waits on the floor, the person had a call alarm but didn't use it.
Living nearby doesn't mean you'll know when somebody falls. Down the block or across the country, you only find out if something tells you. Lanturne sends an alert to your phone when the watch detects a fall, when a check-in doesn't come, or when the watch goes quiet.
